Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to a team of HVAC controls technicians, promoting an environment of excellence and ongoing professional development.
Carry out performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback, and tailoring training and development plans to individual team member needs.
Manage the scheduling and execution of service activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, effectively, and to the highest quality standards.
Take an active role in service operations, utilizing your extensive knowledge of HVAC controls to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Lead efforts in recruiting and retaining skilled service personnel, maintaining a robust, capable, and motivated team.
Ensure all team activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Demonstrated leadership experience in supervising technical teams, with a preference for backgrounds in HVAC or building automation fields.
Comprehensive knowledge of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) Theory and its application in commercial HVAC systems.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with computer systems relevant to HVAC controls and building automation.
Ability to adapt to diverse work settings, from office environments to hands-on site work.
A relevant technical or engineering degree is preferred, alongside specific technical training and certifications in HVAC controls.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC controls systems.
Preferred:
Experience and certification in leading control systems platforms such as Tridium Niagara N4, Alerton, and Delta Controls.
