A great UHY client is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing experience.
The Cost Accountant role will be in office for 4-6 months, but it will transition to hybrid after the initial training period. This is a client direct hire position.
Cost AccountantRequirements & Experiences
3 to 5 years experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related
Hands-on cost accounting experience
Account reconciliations for inventory accounts
Month-end close experience as related to cost accounting and inventory
Validate and analyze cost of good sold
Set the standard costs of manufactured goods
Develop and analyze cost standards
Various analysis related to inventory, cost, volume and profit
Collaborate and advise management on appropriate costing based on financial analysis/data
Manufacturing experience - preferably automotive
Very advanced excel skills
Solid analysis skills
Self directed
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
