Role: A local well-respected public accounting firm with multiple offices regionally is looking to add a Senior Associate to their team. As a Senior Associate, you'll work across small businesses, high net worth individuals, as well as a diverse mid-market clientele throughout several industries. This position is a collaborative position with other tax / audit professionals both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Assist with examining audit records and income statements.
Participate in audit teams that test internal controls to ensure effectiveness.
Recognize potential audit issues or unusual relationships from the analysis of complex financial statements and communicate them to the team.
Inform supervisors of the engagement status and matters.
Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives and the client's engagement history.
Identify gaps, deficiencies or non-compliance in business procedures, processes or systems, and communicate appropriate remedial action.
Assist tax department with preparation of Individual, Corporate, Partnership and State Tax Returns for mid-market organizations.
Effectively compile information requests for clients to make the return process as smooth as possible
Prepare financial statement audits
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required
CPA (or progress towards is required)
3+ years of public accounting experience at any size firm.
