Requires an understanding of Quality door construction standards and the use of proper assembly techniques.
Prior door manufacturing or woodworking experience is required
Responsibilities
Verify materials being used are correct by reading the bill of materials (BOM)
Ensure materials meet quality expectations
Identify electrical and electronic components
Follow Serialization SOP using a handheld tablet interface
Label units and components as needed
Assemble fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units
Install wiring, electrical, and electronic components
Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOP
Repeats tasks until assigned other duties
Cleans up work area when shift ends
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Follows all safety instructions, Protocols and PPE requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work independently and/or effectively in a team environment
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
Strong analytical skills & knowledge of all door components
Understanding of basic assembling wire harnesses and components in a production environment (i.e. push/pull check on connections, making sure tabs lock and engage, etc)
Basic knowledge of PC and/or Tablet interface
Read and understand bill of materials (BOM)
Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills
Must be able to lift up to 75+ lbs.
Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square, etc.
Required to stand for long periods of time
May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers
Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multi-task

Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions including extreme heat, humidity, and cold
Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities
Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential functions of the job in order to avoid any disruptions in production and customer service.
