Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SCADA Manager to join our client's team in Warren. Our client is an independently owned oil & gas refinery and seller of petroleum products. They have been serving communities in NY, OH, and PA for over 100 years.

This position offers a competitive base salary ranging between $80,000 to $120,000 (negotiable), along with bonuses. They cover full benefit costs and provides a highly competitive 401k plan.

Job Summary: The SCADA Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, implementation, and technical management of the WEX / KPC SCADA system, ensuring its seamless operation to support production and safety requirements. This position requires a strategic approach to assessing system capabilities, managing change, and leading a team to achieve operational goals effectively.

Responsibilities: Monitor and manage all installed SCADA systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance. Establish, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Manage system controls and associated alert and warning systems to mitigate potential risks. Maintain system communications hardware and software, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Provide technical direction to IT support staff and oversee the development of customized software and hardware requirements. Assess risks and implement mitigation efforts to enhance system security and integrity. Lead continuous improvement efforts for SCADA and related systems, driving operational efficiency and effectiveness. Design and maintain systems to ensure data integrity and security, adhering to industry standards. Ensure timely response and mitigation of SCADA-related disruptions, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance. Manage technical resources and a SCADA management team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering. Demonstrated knowledge of computerized process control, data management, and information security. Strong technical aptitude with a sound understanding of information management systems, device controllers, and information security systems and procedures. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent organizational skills. 5 years' experience in information technology and/or process controls management preferred. 5 years' experience developing and maintaining SCADA systems and associated hardware preferred. 5 years' experience with DCS/PLC application, modification, troubleshooting, ladder logic, and PID tuning preferred. Familiarity with API 1130, API 1155, and API 1168 preferred. Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database and data storage-and-retrieval programs. Experience with coding applications and environments (e.g., VBA, C++). Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Demonstrated ability to manage direct reports and foster a collaborative team environment. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and can-do attitude. Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, driving innovation and excellence.
