Job Description:

Lead Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Take on a prominent role with high visibility, overseeing technical accounting research and support for significant projects, business transactions, and corporate functions within the Company.
  • Act as a central point of contact, offering leadership, advice, and expertise to various departments such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Development, Corporate and Segment Accounting, SEC Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, and others.
  • Head special project teams and serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical accounting support to cross-functional teams on diverse business transactions and intricate accounting issues, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, long-lived assets, financing transactions, and regulatory accounting.
  • Conduct in-depth research on technical accounting matters and meticulously document the Company's analysis, judgments, and conclusions related to complex transactions.
  • Effectively communicate intricate accounting concepts to senior management across both accounting and non-accounting functions, as well as external auditors, and standard-setting or regulatory organizations.
  • Research, document, and facilitate the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of disclosures in SEC Filings, such as Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
  • Independently engage with internal customers and collaborate with external auditors on various accounting matters and projects, demonstrating effective interaction.

Lead Accountant Compensation & Benefits:
  • Total compensation :$130K+
  • 4% Automatic Retirement Plan Contribution (increases to 5% @ 5yrs)

Lead Accountant Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, Masters preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Public accounting experience desired
  • 4+ years accounting/audit experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
