What We Are Looking For Chief Estimator Job Summary As the Chief Estimator at Conti Civil, you will lead our estimation department, setting strategic direction and ensuring the highest level of accuracy and competitiveness in our bids. This role involves high-level oversight of all estimating activities, development of departmental strategies, and collaboration with senior management to align estimating practices with company goals.
Responsibilities
Oversee all estimation activities, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Develop and implement departmental strategies, processes, and standards for estimation.
Lead, mentor, and develop the estimation team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Foster strong relationships with key clients, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable terms and ensure a competitive edge.
Collaborate with senior management and project teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Provide expert analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and potential risks to inform strategic decision-making.
Ensure the integration of innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance estimation accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in estimation within the heavy civil construction industry, with significant leadership and strategic planning experience.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Deep understanding of construction markets, contract negotiation, and risk management.
Expertise in using advanced estimation software and project management tools.
