Focus:
Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
Manage the grant accounting process, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and compliance monitoring, adhering to grant stipulations and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of fixed asset and grant accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Collaborate with internal departments to track grant expenses, monitor budget adherence, and prepare financial reports for grantors.
Provide guidance and support to program managers and project leads on financial matters related to grants and fixed assets.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights and analysis as needed.
Support external audits and reviews by providing documentation and explanations related to fixed assets and grants.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices related to fixed assets and grants, recommending improvements to processes and procedures as necessary.
Skill Set:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on grant oversight.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations, particularly as they relate to fixed assets and grant accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with grant management systems is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
