Tooling Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in
Hodgkins, IL. Job Title: Tooling Supervisor
Location: Hodgkins, IL
Salary: $100k-$120k (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize your expertise in shaping and forming metal, with a focus on metal progressive dies.
- Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the tool room team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production requirements.
- Manage and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in a tool room environment.
- In-depth knowledge of shaping and forming metal, with expertise in metal progressive dies.
- Strong technical background and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership experience with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
- No degree required; emphasis on practical experience and skill set.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
