Job Summary:

The AEM Developer I position is part of the Communication & Brand Experience department for Terumo Medical Corporation responsible for the management of external websites as well as internal intranets on the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content Management System (CMS) platform and will work closely with internal stakeholders, system administrators, content authors, and project managers to build a state-of-the-art Digital Marketing Platform using Adobe Experience Manager ensuring users receive an engaging and educational customer experience.

The AEM Developer position is responsible for the development of architectural approaches and solutions on the enterprise AEM platform based on business needs/requirements. Position includes development of solutions, hands-on coding, content authoring, perform testing and administration of Adobe Experience Management, and other system integrations and collaboration with the Project Managers and other team members.

This is a rapidly growing area, where the candidate will have the opportunity to expand their skillset to build customer and employee facing experiences while managing the digital asset manager in AEM.

Job Details:
  • Develop and maintain website properties using AEM, including the creation, configuration and integration of templates, components, dialogs, widgets, and ability to expand to new website properties.
  • Ensure content (i.e., editorial images, product) is updated, and mobile applications are operating and tracking properly.
  • Build and maintain processes, workflows and user account management within CMS and maintain the backend operation of the SaaS system.
  • Perform hands-on development in AEM 6.5 version comprising of page templates, components, bundles, OSGI services, custom workflows and JCR queries
  • Implement AEM features including components and templates in HTL, Sightly
  • Implement Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets) solutions
  • Content author websites to help organization deliver content to their customers
  • Build and consume REST services and authentication services like SSO, LDAP, SAML etc. with AEM
  • Set up, manage and deploy AEM authoring and publish instances, configuring dispatcher
  • Execute code management, build and deploy AEM applications and codebase
  • Perform production triage, root cause analysis, troubleshoot the fixes and bug fixes for the existing applications
  • Create Touch UI components within AEM
  • Customize workflows and integration within AEM and other enterprise systems
  • Administer websites and content management using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for both web applications, as well as integration with Showpad, Translations.com, Veeva Promomats and other API driven integrations
  • Work in project teams through agreed upon phases of project governance, requirements definition, vendor selection, risk analysis, customization, testing, training, and rollout of projects
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
  • Hands-on with development skills like Java, JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, OSGi, REST, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS, NodeJS
  • Demonstrate solid front-end skills (CSS, JavaScript, HTML) with emphasis on valid and semantic code
  • Firm understanding of Java in the context of AEM and experience with server setup and overall best AEM practices would be added advantage
  • End-to-end knowledge of the web application space including web server configuration, tuning, proxies, and load balancing is preferred

Qualifications/ Background Experiences
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 3 years' experience in website development, to include design, development, and semi large deployments
  • 1 year of experience on AEM 6.5 with editable templates, workflows, content fragments, experience fragments, component development, environment setup, understanding of dispatcher configuration, sling framework, custom OSGI components creation
  • Experience with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite product a plus
  • Experience with VEEVA Promomats SaaS a plus
  • Strong Java/J2EE & front-end development experience capable of creating technical designs and solutions, as well as expertise in setting up and configuring AEM for existing website management
