Description Job Summary: This position oversees all aspects of training in the adolescent group homes. The Residential Trainer is available to coordinate and facilitate on site trainings for CPI, First Aid and CPR, as well as other trainings required by the licensor and the state. The Residential Trainer/Restraint Coordinator maintains all training records for group home staff and works closely with the VP of Residential Services and Program Directors to ensure all training requirements are in compliance.
What You Will be Doing to Support the Adolescent Group Homes at Bay State Community Services...
Responsible for all group home training and processing and recording training hours
Provide training on utilization of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) physical interventions for new staff and existing staff as required
Provide training on verbal de-escalation for group homes as needed
Provide training on First Aid for new staff and existing staff as required
Provide training on CPR for new staff and existing staff as required
Provide support and mentorship to group home staff as needed within the group homes
Provide support to VP of Residential Services and Program Directors in ensuring requirements of training are met in accordance with regulatory authorities
Provide On-Call Coverage (additional stipend will be given for this)
Schedule: 40 hours per week; Must available to cover nights and weekends (if needed)

Requirements
We will pay for your certification as a Trainer or demonstrated experience in areas of training responsibilities, including CPR and CPI, First Aid, Safety and others as determined by management
Adolescent Group Home experience preferred
Able to learn, carry out and be certified in MAP, CPR and first aid
Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills required
Demonstrated strong presentation and facilitation skills
Ability to observe staff and provide immediate and written constructive feedback
Strong organizational skills
Valid MA driver's license with acceptable driving record and current proof of insurance
Acceptable CORI, SORI and DEEC background record check including fingerprinting
