Summary: The Distribution Center Inbound Load Scheduler will plan and manage all inbound freight deliveries and loads utilizing the distribution centers Warehouse Management System. Coordinate with DC Management, Production Scheduler, and FTZ team to prioritize and establish deliveries. Ensure compliance with CTPAT requirements. Preform all receiving pre-work for all inbound deliveries.


Responsibilities:



  • Utilize Warehouse Management System to plan and direct inbound freight deliveries. Manage workload tasks and direct associates related to freight deliveries, preparation and monitor progress on the unloading of shipments. Provide status of freight shipments to DC management as appropriate.

  • Manages all pre-receiving activities i.e., create ASNs for purchase orders, adding/removing PO lines, assigning priorities, assigning dock doors, and identifying new items. Act as back-up route coordinator when needed.

  • Collaborate with compliance and logistics to establish consistent inventory flow.

  • Communicate with DC Production Scheduler to plan freight shipment priorities and shipping deadlines. Provide scheduler with updates on progress of freight loads.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by DC Management.


Requirements:



  • Reading, writing, calculation skills normally associated with a High School diploma.

  • 3-4 years in a warehouse production role with daily utilization of Warehouse Management System software tools.

  • Familiarity with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management for Open Systems preferred. Previous warehouse management system user experience preferred.

  • Must be able to multi-task to meet daily deadlines. Able to adapt to changing requirements while under deadline pressure. Excellent PC skills (word processing, spreadsheets, internet).

  • Written and oral communication skills necessary to serve in a professional office setting while dealing with internal and external contacts and customers.

  • Warehouse and office environment with continuous PC and RF device usage. Must be able to multitask and problem solve. Must be able to communicate effectively using phone/email. Must be able to lift and bend as required for warehouse tasks. Early/late shift hours flexibility required.
