Acton Medical Associates, PC a busy adult and pediatric primary care practice is seeking part-time and per-diem Radiology Technologists to join our team. Our mission is to perform high quality diagnostic imaging exams while using ionizing radiation, adhering to the ALARA Principles of Radiation Protection, and upholding the Standards set by the Code of Ethics. In addition to imaging, your valuable skills and positive attitude will be utilized to successfully complete the day-to-day operations.

Essential responsibilities and core values:

Diagnostic Imaging Services: A rare opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the medical imaging visit while working with devoted professionals and a supportive team outside of a hospital setting. This team is dedicated and committed to consistently producing clear and accurate radiographs along with providing on-site bone density training.

Quality Patient Care: AMA Rad Team strives to provide outstanding, compassionate, and respectful patient interactions. Our team has the unique responsibility that encompasses the entire patient experience; we are a valuable component of the Acton Medical Community and not just a department. Our trusted team works closely with other departments and side-by-side with our providers to ensure that both patients and employees have a safe experience while in the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Progressiveness: Procedures and protocols are in place to ensure that the employee can successfully thrive as an independent trusted technologist. Our team is committed to the continued improvement and education development for every employee, so together as a department we are able to positively impact the patients we serve with dedicated and innovative individuals. Seeking an independent individual who can contribute to our determination to uphold all standards set forth. We encourage Technologists who are able to demonstrate critical thinking skills and take initiative while being supported by management.

Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT)
  • Minimum one-year experience in medical setting and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current certification by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health - Radiation Control. Program.
  • Maintain all ARRT and State Continuing Education Requirements and CQR.
  • Maintain CPR basic life support. Provided through on-site courses.
  • Temporary State License - To qualify for a temporary RT license to practice in Massachusetts, you must have graduated from 2-year JRCERT or JRCNMT accredited program and be eligible to take the ARRT board exam and PASS the boards within 6 months per AMA (12 months per Mass.gov).
