Job Summary: Ensure that technologists' work meets the required standards for accurate radiologic diagnosis. Train and develop technologists for consistent excellence and maintain accurate quality control processes. Support radiologists and site managers by providing performance data for MRI technologists.
Job Responsibilities Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. Screen patients for MRI safety compatibility according to policy and procedures. Obtain clinical information and input all data appropriately. Ensure proper positioning of patients and use of coils following requested protocols. Maintain communication with patients during exams to ensure cooperation and safety. Monitor patients visually for safety and comfort. Review images for correctness of anatomical, technical, and quality factors. Ensure safety of all individuals and objects entering the MRI department. Perform daily and weekly Quality Assurance checks and document results. Assist in procurement of necessary supplies. Report equipment needing repair promptly. Be flexible to work in other locations and shifts as needed.
Qualifications Superior knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI technology. Commitment to excellence in patient care and exceptional customer service. Extensive computer background with strong application understanding, especially RIS/PACS software. Strong desire to learn and take on new responsibilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. College degree preferred. ARRT (RT)(MR) and CT State License required. 2+ years clinical experience in all MRI procedure types; GE and Siemens experience preferred.
