Position Summary: We are looking for looking for a School-Based Therapeutic Behavior Services Specialist. Under the administrative/clinical supervision of the School Based Clinical Supervisor, you will provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) to clients, their families, and/or significant others as needed. You will engage with clients in school and community settings and work to provide support - including education and consultation - for parents and/or caregivers, case coordination, and symptom management and monitoring.
Responsibilities Include:
Accept assignment of cases from the supervisor to provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services for clients, their families, and/or significant others as needed, including: community organizations, schools, other health and social service professionals, the justice system, and other agencies involved with the client.
Accept case assignments - stepping down from a higher level of care - from the clinical supervisor and jointly develop tasks and interventions that implement treatment goals
Develop and review the client's treatment plan, provide assistance and support in crisis situations, provide education and consultation for families and/or significant others regarding the client's mental illness, etc...
Recognize the significance of the parent and/or caregiver in the client's life and demonstrate the skills to engage the client, primary family, and other supportive adults in the treatment planning process.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or related human services field.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.
A valid driver's license, vehicle, and auto insurance coverage.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Ability to work cooperatively as a team as well as independently.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations with complex psychiatric needs and experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.
