Reporting directly to the Director of Capital Projects, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and execution of projects ranging from $500k to $50M. From cost and schedule management to ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality, your expertise will be instrumental in delivering success at every stage.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
Proactively identify and address any changes or challenges that may impact project outcomes, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Provide hands-on support for engineering activities, ensuring strict adherence to specifications, codes, and standards.
Spearheaded the procurement process for major engineered and bulk purchases, optimizing sourcing strategies and vendor relationships.
Offer expert guidance during construction phases, resolving production issues and driving continuous improvement in safety and productivity.
Act as a liaison with onsite construction crews, championing safety protocols, maintaining quality standards, and keeping projects on track.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or equivalent field.
Bring a wealth of experience with 15 years or more in project management, particularly within refineries, terminals, or pipelines.
Proficiency in operations, construction, design, finance, and management principles is highly desirable.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word, are essential.
Physical fitness to meet job demands, including the ability to lift 50 lbs, traverse long distances and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to ensure project milestones are met.
Additional Requirements:
Maintain current "Fitness to Work" medical exam certification.
Possess TWIC credentials as required.
Complete necessary OQ tasks as identified by the client.
Physical Demands:
Comfortably work at elevated heights using lifts, ladders, and stairs.
Perform a range of physical tasks, including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Adapt to outdoor work environments in all weather conditions.
Balance prolonged periods of desk work with computer usage and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
