The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial upholstery sewing and possess a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance: Perform thorough inspections of automotive seating and interior materials to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
Liaison Duties: Act as a bridge between production teams and quality assurance departments to address any issues or concerns related to product quality in a timely manner.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices for sewing various automotive materials.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers to address quality-related inquiries and provide timely updates on quality performance metrics.
Requirements:
Industrial Sewing Experience: Proven experience in sewing various automotive seating and interior materials using industrial sewing machines.
Quality Assurance Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies in finished products.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and external stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions to ensure product quality.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in automotive manufacturing or related industries.
Knowledge of quality management systems and tools, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) techniques for quality monitoring and analysis.
Certification in quality assurance or related field is a plus.
