The 3D printing specialist will work hands-on with every aspect of the production and 3D printing process. Our products place a premium on achieving high aesthetic quality and we have an emphasis on fine craftsmanship. A background with a focus on art, machining, furniture making, rapid prototyping, or mechanical engineering will be advantageous.
The 3D printing specialist will also troubleshoot and provide maintenance to our 3D printing machines, and support the overall needs of a growing production facility and business.
Responsibilities: • Manage our products from start to finish through our production process, ensuring the highest level of quality and craftsmanship in the final product. • Participate in all aspects of the 3D manufacturing process, post-processing prints, loading machines, machine maintenance/repair, and working on new products. • Work closely with final 3D digital models, ensuring they meet quality expectations and printability standards. Prepare 3D models for production builds for the 3D printers. • Lead projects to develop greater efficiency in our process and for improved design of our products, and be responsible for the end-to-end results with guidance from experienced leadership. • Organization and factory operational responsibilities such as material and parts inventory.
Skills and Relevant Experience: • 2-year relevant job experience • Interdisciplinary thinker who can flex between highly creative and technical work. • Enjoy working with your hands, tinkering, and thinking about the big picture. • Have a strong attention to detail. Craftsman at heart. • Experience with sculpting techniques and 3D modeling software. • Hardworking, enthusiastic, and intellectually curious. • Able to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize responsibilities. • Constantly looking to improve current processes. • Experience as a leader or team member of design projects, from concept to completion. • Are motivated by hands-on experience and working with machines.
