LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a Materials Manager / Production Control Manager to join their team in Glendale Heights, IL. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in the manufacturing industry, with expertise in materials management, production control, inventory management, production scheduling, and planning. A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience is required for this role. Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize materials management, production control, and inventory management processes.
Oversee the production scheduling and planning process to ensure efficient utilization of resources and on-time delivery of products.
Lead and mentor a team of materials coordinators, production planners, and inventory control specialists.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless materials flow throughout the supply chain.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials management and production control, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to materials management and inventory control.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S projects, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in materials management, production control, inventory management, production scheduling, or related roles within the manufacturing industry.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively lead and develop a team.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and other materials management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
