FilmRise, an industry leading streaming company is looking to hire a Director of Digital Distribution. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role and existing relationships with AVOD/FAST licensees. The person in this role will report to the SVP, Head of Sales and will help support various other members of the Sales team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage key accounts day-to-day across content licensing functions, including:
Building relationships with accounts via regular calls and meetings
Overseeing contract negotiations and deal compliance
Preparing, communicating, and tracking availabilities/selections using the rights database
Creating and distributing internal deal memos
Monitoring asset deliveries to ensure timely exploitation of licensed content
Devising and implementing strategies to drive long-term account growth
Grow FilmRise's distribution footprint by identifying and closing new licensing opportunities
Forge strong internal relationships across various departments (e.g. legal, finance, delivery, rights, marketing, acquisitions)
Maintain an expert understanding of your accounts and the overall distribution space; regularly relaying market observations to the leadership team
Represent FilmRise at industry markets (travel required)
Participate in regular programming discussions (e.g. sales pitches, FAST stunts)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Proven experience managing large content licensees
Thorough understanding of distribution rights (e.g. PTV, BCTV, SVOD, AVOD, FAST)
Comfort and experience handling and analyzing large data sets
Highly proficient in MS Office required, advanced Excel skills mandatory
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and prioritize efficiently
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work within a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A self-starter, driven, efficient, curious, and resourceful
