We are hiring a Wholesale Planner Associate to join a top fashion company in NYC for a short term freelance role. This role will be in the New York City office on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
Develop open-to-buy plans and deliver monthly presentations that give insights and ideas to senior team, create and own business plans
Analyze and prepare retrospective documents to measure past performance to inform future planning and purchases
Analyze and report sales / warehouse performance by door group / promotion level
Manage the execution of prices and promotions in SAP
Protect financial documents and reconcile order / receipt flow on a monthly basis
Collaborate with merchandising to formulate pre-season sales / GM / inventory flow goals linked to key benchmarks and present strategies to senior management
Collaborate with merchandising to create shopping spreadsheets linked to core metrics
Meet cross-functional teams to manage day-to-day operations from a price / promotion and inventory / sales / GM perspective and advise on strategies to improve the business.
Examine the data outside of the immediate tasks to understand the big picture
Work on departmental / corporate projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in merchandise planning in a retail environment
Bachelor's degree
Previous planning experience is an plus
Retail math background

organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work across the board and with senior management.
Computer skills: Excel, Word, Power Point
Experience in SAP, BOBJ, Lighthouse and JDA, an advantage
Responsible for managing the purchasing and inventory budgets for your department
Share departmental advice (e.g. buying options) with your line manager
Ability to work on multiple activities / projects respecting deadlines and budgets
Creative thinker and effective contributor to his department team
You need to be able to find the best solutions and develop methods to increase efficiency
Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
