We are immediately hiring a strong Privacy Program Manager to join our Legal team in Redwood City on a hybrid schedule.

This key contributor will be responsible for ensuring privacy operations are efficient and scalable, with an eye for process improvement opportunities. You must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional environment with an affinity for building relationships along with empathy for the challenges facing PubMatic's internal business teams. You will take charge of our privacy operations with precision and innovation.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide general oversight to PubMatic's privacy program, ensuring compliance documentation remains relevant and up to date as the industry and regulatory landscape changes over time.
  • Serve as business owner for essential legal privacy tools, ensuring their efficiency and relevance.
  • Serve as project manager for internal enterprise compliance initiatives and privacy related products, acting as the liaison between Legal and functional teams engaged as stakeholders.
  • Oversee the management of data rights requests in order to ensure timely response and responsible data handling.
  • Coordinate communications between Legal and business teams seeking privacy guidance for corporate processes and in response to customer inquiries.
  • Assist in overseeing company training on data privacy compliance.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the changing privacy regulations related to PubMatic's business (such as GDPR, CPRA, COPPA, etc).
  • Proactively review current procedures and confidently make recommendations for improvements with consideration to stakeholders

About You:

You are driven and have proven ability to efficiently manage a variety of projects with a timely, efficient manner with strong follow through skills. You have experience and expertise in program management, where you can demonstrate proactive implementation of processes with effective, measurable outcomes. You're comfortable working with a wide variety of people - able to respect the perspectives of those who may disagree with you.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent experience working in Privacy and Compliance
  • High attention to detail and be able to process a high volume of information quickly and accurately
  • Excellent prioritization skills with a strategic approach to task management
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate cross functionally
  • Superior written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment with a strong sense of agency.
  • Strong problem solving skills with creative approaches.
  • A natural inclination towards curiosity, unafraid to delve into industry specifics and technology.
  • An ability to build trust-based relationships to build on a culture of compliance and serve as a dependable resource to the team

Bonus Points:

  • CIPM or CIPT Certification preferred
  • Familiarity with current ad tech landscape and PubMatic's value proposition in the market
  • Specific knowledge/experience in ad serving and/or other advertising technology systems

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Salary Range: $130,000 to $145,000

In accordance with applicable law, the above salary range provided is PubMatic's reasonable estimate of the base salary for this role. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition to salary PubMatic also offers a bonus, restricted stock units and a competitive benefits package.
