As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and facilitating the sustainable growth of our organization. You will oversee all aspects of operations, including manufacturing (internal and external), supply chain management, logistics, and quality control. Your strategic leadership and operational expertise will be instrumental in optimizing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategy: Lead the development and execution of the company's operational strategy, aligning with the company's vision and objectives.
  • Manufacturing: Oversee the manufacturing process, encompassing both in-house production and partnerships with contract manufacturers, to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Evolve and manage supply chain functions, including purchasing, planning, logistics, and distribution. Implement strategic initiatives to increase efficiencies, minimize risks, and enhance customer experience.
  • Partnerships: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and external partners. Develop and execute strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Quality: Implement robust quality control measures to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction, liaising with internal teams and external partners as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with marketing, retail, international, customer service, and other departments to support the company's expansion efforts and product/service enhancements.
  • Development: Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and teamwork within the organization. Develop and mentor future leaders to ensure continuous growth and development.
  • Management: Implement effective risk mitigation programs to minimize supply chain risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks across the organization.
  • KPIs: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to monitor operational performance and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Culture: Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability, providing mentorship and guidance to the operations team to maximize their potential.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain & operations, preferably within the luxury goods, apparel, jewelry, or fashion industry.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex supply chains and manufacturing processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and logistics, with experience in both in-house production and contract manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management software, and other relevant tools and technologies.
  • Experience with ERP implementation, particularly with systems like Netsuite, is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a track record of cost-saving initiatives.
  • A collaborative and adaptable mindset, conducive to working in a dynamic, open-seating environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
