Staff Nurse – Neuroscience Nurse Fellowship Program

The Neuroscience Nurse Fellowship is an exciting opportunity for new graduate and experienced registered nurses to expand their careers while serving in UT Medical Center's neuroscience unit which includes 24 Neuro Critical Care and 57 acute care beds. As a comprehensive stroke center, a three-time Magnet-designated organization and the region's academic medical center, fellows in the program will participate in various experiences that will enhance their nursing skills and provide them with the confidence and knowledge to sit for a neuroscience nursing certification. Participants will participate in networking opportunities, leadership development and community outreach throughout the fellowship. Highlights of the program include:

• One-year program, cohorts start in January and July
• Mentorship, growth and development opportunities
• Lectures with neuroscience providers cover neuropharmacology, neurosurgery patient care, neuroradiology/neuro-interventional radiology, movement disorders, neurotrauma and more
• Shadow opportunities with different departments including neurosurgery, critical care and stroke team
• Paid Neuroscience Nursing Certification
