Job Summary: The Manufacturing Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at our metals manufacturing plant. This role requires a strategic leader who can efficiently manage our plant's resources, ensure the highest quality of production, and uphold safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant management and Lean / Six Sigma and a proven track record in driving operational excellence, and experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L) and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met.
  • Develop and manage the plant's budget, effectively controlling spending and maximizing cost-efficiency.
  • Maintain full responsibility for the plant's P&L statements, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded.
  • Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and alignment of plant goals with overall company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and production data to anticipate customer needs and potential operational challenges.

Required Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Robust understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and P&L management.
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Plant Manager in a manufacturing environment, specifically within the metals industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, including P&L and budgeting responsibilities.
  • A strong track record of operational excellence in manufacturing settings.
