Job Description *
A defense contractor in San Diego, CA is looking for an Assistant Buyer to support a Navy program. The buyer will be responsible for generating material requisitions for projects and overhead expenditures within Costpoint. The assistant buyer will contact existing and prospect suppliers via phone and email to get quotes. The assistant buyer will do P&A (Price & availability) analysis to obtain approvals then work with buyer to write purchase orders and execute the transaction. The employee will work with shipping and receiving to provide follow up and tracking on ordered materials and services until delivered. The products purchased are related to cable assembly, wiring, and electronics.
This position will be onsite in Chula Vista. The hours are M-F 6:00AM-2:30PM. Overtime requested to 6:00-4:30 regularly.
