The Systems Engineering Manager will manage and lead diverse sizes of technical programs within the Advanced Engineering department and lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of program technical deliverables. The Systems Engineering Manager will plan, monitor, manage and drive the progress of a program, function as a project technical lead and participate in business development functions. The Systems Engineering Manager will also provide systems engineering support in planning, design, development, and validation of different system solutions for multiple disciplines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage cross-functional team to deliver program objectives, facilitate timely problem solving and decision-making, and function as a technical lead
Manage modeling and simulation activities to support system or subsystem development. Lead and guide development of models and simulations to support controls/software algorithm development
Project scope creation, schedule development, resource planning, budgeting, lead project execution, and overall project management
Manage systems engineering scope, guide, prepare, and deliver technical reports and presentations for status reviews and project deliverables
Develop requirements, test case and validation plan for systems, sub systems and components.
Provide ongoing communication to program team, and stakeholders to ensure the program is aligned with objectives
Support the business acquisition and quotation process
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant technical field
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in a technical area or field
Minimum 5 years of experience leading, developing, and managing engineering projects.
Experience in systems engineering disciplines and tools
Experience reporting program critical elements (open issues, project timing plans, budget variances, etc.) to management, internal, and customer teams
Experience with managing multiple programs concurrently throughout the entire program lifecycle.
Knowledge of requirements management design and practices
Experience with dynamic modeling
Knowledgeable in analysis techniques such as fault tree analysis, FMEA, and FMEDA is a plus Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
Excellent problem solving and organization skills
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills with the ability to impact and influence others, with a customer-focused mindset
Strong team leader with ability to resolve conflict and foster teamwork, cooperation, and relationship building
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in technical or business field
Education and experience in Program Management - PMP certification or similar
Experience with 1D modeling and simulation methodologies
Prototype, concept development, and/or research and development industry experience
