The Regulatory Compliance and Civil Rights Officer (RCCRO) coordinates civil rights programs to ensure regulatory compliance of state and federal laws for Long Beach Transit (LBT). The RCCRO monitors and facilitates the application of regulatory guidelines, organizational compliance and Civil Rights programs including, but not limited to, the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VI programs.This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers. The incumbent must have knowledge of and ability to interpret applicable state and federal laws and regulations, and to coordinate programs that address the necessary laws and regulations to support LBT's mission. This position reports to the Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Civil Rights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with relevant coursework in public administration, business administration, or related field, is required. Three years of related experience is required. Applicable coursework and/or training in federal/state civil rights laws and regulations are desired. Prior transportation experience is preferred. A combination of qualifying experience/skills and education to fulfill the requisites may be considered on a year-for-year basis.

Salary Range: $80,149- $108,200 per year (Depending on Qualifications)

Actual compensation packages consider a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and agency needs. At Long Beach Transit compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range.
