Title: Desktop Deployment Tech- Post Deployment Support

Duration: 12+ Months On-Site and Some Travel

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Pay Rate: 27-30/HR

This role will require travel between different hospitals with a reimbursement rate of 65.5 Cent per mile.

Reliable transportation is needed for this role.

Job Summary

Addressing user issues, providing training, and ensuring that users have access to up-to-date documentation. Upgrade systems to ensure that they are compatible with new technologies and security protocols. Implement security measures such as firewalls and access controls to protect against unauthorized access.

Job Qualifications:
  • 2+ Years of Desktop deployment experience
  • 2+ Years of desktop imaging
  • 2+ years of Windows Experience

Must have reliable vehicle to travel from hospital to hospital (65.5 Cent reimbursement)

Providing Post-Deployment Support After the Following has been Performed:
  • Install the requested applications and peripherals on the user machine.
  • Keep track of all issues related to patches, features, deployment, and permissions.
  • Assist in data migration, identify and resolve issues and maintain the accuracy of deployed machines.
  • Image/reimage new and existing desktops, laptops, etc.
  • In depth understanding of imaging, sending machines and investigating.
  • Make use of the active directory to supervise records, profiles and approaches. Assist with sending workstations and PCs.
  • Create the design settings on Windows workstations. Oversee information and adjust system profiles. Investigate any technical issues that may arise with system tasks and en-client support. Communicate with the end clients.
  • Make sure computers and peripherals are secure and that the users have the correct software.
  • Correctly managing image files and inventories are an essential part of the position. Hands-on experience with imaging, deploying machines and troubleshooting.
  • Fault finding and problem-solving skills in a network environment.
  • Well-versed with building and setting up desktop computer systems.
  • Conduct recovery and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Run diagnostic or repair routines and provide technical assistance.
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
