As a Lead Accessibility User Experience Specialist focused on Digital Accessibility as a subject matter expert, you will support the Technology Digital Accessibility Production and Conformance team (TDAPC). The team is responsible for digital accessibility evaluations and validation of Wells Fargo digital assets and content to ensure it meets digital accessibility requirements. You will perform Americans with Disabilities Act ADA/A11Y evaluations on Wells Fargo internally and third-party developed products as well as assist with interpreting the test results of other external groups/vendors. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, supporting scrum teams to deliver accessibility solutions throughout the Agile testing life cycles. You will leverage your passion to deliver accessible digital solutions and processes ensuring that solutions for accessibility contribute to a positive user experience for employees and customers of all abilities. In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives for user accessibility outcomes for the Accessible User Experience group
  • Identify the modeling and all risk management including compliance with all federal and state laws for accessibility for all users
  • Review and analyze complex business and operational objectives that require in-depth evaluation
  • Complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance and business process expectations and meet accessibility risk governance team processes and procedures in support of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Conformance and Sunrise
  • Make decisions requiring solid understanding of policies, procedures and compliance requirements and supporting development of Wells Fargo Online Standards and Guidelines ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2., A and AA success criteria
  • Conduct due diligence and portfolio administration as necessary, and provide in-depth research on relevant industry trends
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals to promote accessibility within the organization and be an advocate for considering accessibility as a vital part of the employee and customer experience
  • Lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor by providing mentorship or talent development opportunities
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Graphic or Website Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, 2.1 or a combination of both
  • Experience in, or subject matter expertise of accessibility requirements, including ADA rules, regulations, standards, and guidance
  • 5+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners
Desired Qualifications:
  • Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification or other relevant background, training or experience in Accessibility and Accommodations
  • Experience with conducting ADA/A11Y evaluations of web applications/sites, mobile applications and electronic documents (PDF, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skill
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques utilizing critical thinking and analytical skill
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems without direct oversight
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodology

CA - San Francisco Pay Range: $100,800 - $179,200 Annually
