Job Description:

SPRAY FERTILIZER TECHNICIAN (Ft Worth/Carrollton)
Smith Lawn and Tree has an opening for a qualified and experienced Spray/Fertilizer technician in our Carrolton Texas location. He would be responsible for making applications of various fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides to turf and landscape beds on commercial and residential properties.
Qualification/ Experience:
Some knowledge of backpack sprayers, spreaders and/or calibration equipment a plus.
Basic math skills and conversions required to measure and mix proper amounts of liquids and granular products.
The Fertilizer Technician's Responsibilities will include
Operate a Z-Spray MachineWork as a teamCommunicate effectively with co-workers and customersThe Ability to complete all job paperworkDrive/Operate truck and trailerMix, load, and apply fertilizers/herbicides to numerous sites each dayPerform the chemical and fertilizer applications on assigned propertiesMonitor landscape health and care needs. The Tech diagnoses primary turf problems and basic pest identification.Maintain proper documentation as required by The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.The Tech must take a proactive approach to safety by attending all required field safety training and utilizing proper safety equipment.The right candidate must be willing to learn, follow processes and procedures and be a team member,
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of Fertilization ApplicationIdentify WeedsProperly mix productAbility to operate Z-Spray MachineDrive a truck and a trailerBack up a truck and trailerProfessional referencesA clean driving record and background is requiredValid Drivers license
