Material Handler

Material Handler
Reports To: Operations Manager or Designee

Job Summary:

The Distribution Center Material Handler will primarily assemble product according to instructions, written, or verbal, with a focus on quality, and safety. This position will also facilitate in inventory accuracy and occasionally help with inspection activities.

Primary Responsibilities:
Operate production machinery
Identify machine problems and report them as needed
Order material based on current job requirements
Perform machine set up and verifications
Assemble product based on Bill of Materials (BOM) and work instructions
Verify product conformance to specifications
Package customer orders for shipping
Perform Work In Progress inspection as required to achieve a quality product.
Ensure finished goods are complete and meet the standards of quality
Keep assigned area neat and orderly
Abides by all established organizational policies, rules, and regulations
Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience:
Epicor knowledge desired but not required
1-2 years warehouse, assembly experience
Working knowledge of computers and related Microsoft applications
Forklift preferred but not required

Skills and Requirements:

Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
Basic computer knowledge
Stand for long periods of time
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the day
Basic math skills and able to work with several part numbers at the same time
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
This position will require some lifting and candidate should be comfortable with moving up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
On time every day
Must be good with numbers and able to work with several part numbers at the same time
Forklift skills preferred, or able to certify within first 90 days
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
