Salary: $45.00 USD Hourly - $50.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a FACILITIES MANAGER I


This position is fully onsite in El Cajon, CA and is a contract role.

Position: Facilities Manager


Experience:

• 5 years of experience in a similar position


• Bachelor's degree in engineering

Responsibilities:

• Lead project management efforts, overseeing various projects.


• Manage and coordinate with suppliers, obtain quotes, and ensure compliance with work scope.


• Implement building improvements.


• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and legal requirements.


• Handle budget management and coordinate with Finance for capital request expenses.


• Utilize critical thinking and multitasking skills.


• Possess knowledge of HVAC equipment and electrical installations.

Typical Duties:

Facilities Planning:

• Analyze current and long-term organizational space needs, limitations, and cost.


• Plan facilities for plant, office, and production equipment layouts and installation.


• Strive for economy of operation and maximum utilization of facilities and equipment.


• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Space Layout and Renovation:

• Prepare and implement space layouts, considering lighting, size, and condition.


• Coordinate occupant moves while maintaining records related to space allocation and usage.


• Participate in space renovation and redesign efforts.

Collaboration with Contractors and Vendors:

• Work with architecture/engineering/design firms and other contractors or vendors.


• Develop design criteria and prepare layout and detail drawings.


• Estimate costs related to equipment, installation, labor, materials, and preparation.

Documentation and Performance Metrics:

• Maintain documentation such as power diagrams, network diagrams, and blueprints.


• Develop criteria and performance metrics for facilities and equipment specifications.


• Ensure compliance with unique operating requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
