    Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.     Ph.D. in Virology, with experience working on HSV infection and latency is preferred

    Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our team and contribute to an exciting project focused on elucidating the mechanisms underlying Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) latent infection and activation and developing a strategy to prevent or treat it. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic research environment with state-of-the-art facilities and collaborate closely with virology and molecular biology experts.

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Investigate the molecular mechanisms governing HSV latent infection and reactivation using cellular and molecular biology techniques.
    • Design and execute experiments to characterize viral gene expression, chromatin modifications, and host-virus interactions during latency and reactivation.
    • Utilize advanced virological assays, CRISPR-Cas9, and imaging techniques to study viral replication, spread, and immune evasion strategies.
    • Analyze and interpret complex data sets and contribute to the preparation of research manuscripts and grant proposals.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and actively participate in lab meetings, seminars, and scientific conferences.
