The Hamilton Lugar School's Language Workshop offers intensive in-person, online, and overseas programs that help students make rapid and lasting progress through work with instructors from some of the best and most innovative language training programs in the world. Students will also go beyond the classroom to engage with language and culture through a range of activities.
Job Summary
The IU Language Workshop is hiring an hourly student worker to assist with general office work, special event coordination and execution, and media for Summer 2023.
Department Specific Responsibilities
Assists the staff with planning, preparing and facilitating extracurricular programs and special events
General office assistance, including data entry and document editing
Helps with communications, including videography and social media
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Currently enrolled as student at Indiana University
SKILLS
Required
Ability to communicated effectively with faculty, students, and staff
Basic computer skills
Event planning/execution experience
Practical knowledge of recording and photography equipment and managing social media
Willingness to learn needed skills to support the Language Workshop efforts
Preferred
Knowledge of Arabic, Chinese or Russian
Additional Information
Position start date can be as early as May 22, 2024 The position will end on August 4, 2024.
