Job Description:

$3,000 hiring bonus to join the Judicial Branch! The Judicial Branch is a state-funded Branch of Government that offers benefits to include medical/dental/vision, $20,000 free basic life insurance, state-matched 156% retirement plan, 13 paid holidays, earned paid vacation and sick leave, tuition reimbursement and more.


The Administrative Office of the Courts is accepting applications for a full-time Business Manager who will, under general supervision of the Financial and Accounting Officer.


Prepare IBTs, journal voucher entries, review/analyze general ledger, initiate corrective actions; collection of past due accounts; and review and check accuracy of records and compliance of transactions with established policies/procedures. Examine data on vouchers, invoices, bank statements, employee expense reimbursement requests, and other documents, to ensure the information is accurate and complete. Process payment of invoices, IBTs, and employee expense reimbursement requests.


HIRING RATE (during probationary period): $54,262.82 Annually


MINIMUM PERMANENT RATE (after probationary period): $55,619.38 Annually

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, criminal justice, adult education or other related field and one-year business-related experience; related work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of general accounting systems; business operations principles such as purchasing and inventory, agency policies and procedures; accounting policies; and computerized business systems. The ability to: organize and present facts and opinions to exchange information and ideas and to promote division needs, plans, and objectives; conduct research activities; summarize technical data and conclusions into reports; analyze data and draw conclusions; learn branch programs, functions, policies, procedures, processes, communications channels, and objectives related to assigned responsibilities; ability to communicate effectively; establish positive working relationships with all contacts; maintain accurate records; identify and resolve administrative and transactional problems; maintain confidentiality of management and personnel information when appropriate; read, understand, interpret and apply rules/regulations, policies/procedures and other work directives; prepare various budget/financial/administrative reports using computer software applications (such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Enterprise 1, etc.). The ability to provide excellent customer service regardless of the demeanor and attitude of the customer is essential.
