On Prem DevOps Engineer at Kforce Inc in Maryland Heights, Missouri

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is seeking an On Prem DevOps Engineer who can help transition a team to AWS.

Duties Include:

• Supporting Ordering Services


• All ordering has to go through this team's services


• More than 60-70 services running in parallel supporting 26 clients


• Make sure services are running at all times - they are the owner of the services so they support the business: monitor infrastructure, monitoring, scaling, etc.; For the services that are deployed to Kubernetes, they have to manage those instances as well; As of now they are not managing CICD pipelines


• By the EOY they want to migrate to AWS

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have an engaging personality/be a self-starter


• Monitoring/troubleshooting Java applications


• Ability to read java code enough to troubleshoot


• On prem DevOps


• Splunk for sure, ideally Datadog and AppDynamics


• Kubernetes


• Unix/VMware

Nice to have:

• Cloud - AWS

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
