Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a well-known Utility Company is looking for a Principal Regulatory Strategy Lead in Oakland, CA to assist in the strategy and development of their 2025 Utility Response Plan. This role is mostly remote (1 day per month onsite).

Key Tasks:


  • Help lead the development of this large report

  • As a Principal Regulatory Strategy Lead, you will help to provide a more concise document going forward

  • Working on revisions and editing of this documenting and strategizing process improvements for future reports







REQUIREMENTS:



  • 6+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience supporting regulatory-related projects within the utility industry

  • Demonstrated experience in taking ownership over projects with successful results

  • Exceptional writing skills, experienced with analyzing complex and technical content and translating into easily digestible content and compelling storytelling for wider audiences

  • Background with planning, response, strategy development, and report writing/document creation

  • Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills and can work cross functionally with senior leadership and team members across various sectors

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build trusting relationships to align multiple stakeholders around strategic priorities

  • Strong presentation skills to effectively convey complex issues to internal and external parties of various levels

  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving, strategic decision-making ability

  • Ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the department through data analysis, insights, and recommendations

Additional Qualifications:

  • Power BI experience is nice to have

  • MBA/Masters experience nice to have

  • Any experience with the following is highly desired: CPUC or California Public Utilities Commission; NERC North American Electric Reliability Corporation; NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection)






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
