Job Description:

Job Summary

This position oversees the processing of inbound and outbound parcels at the company's Downtown Los Angeles satellite office. He/She conducts pre-operation checks, manages sorting, loading and dispatch operations, and performs post-operation functions. Identify, analyze, and improve existing business processes within the operation to increase efficiencies and improve both employee and customer satisfaction levels. This includes leveraging data-driven approaches to problem-solving and decision-making. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness. He/She supervises hourly employees and works with outside guard services vendor.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes previous dispatch results to maximize service performance and streamline routes and ensures inbound and outbound packages are processed, sorted, and leave the operation securely and on time.
  • Provide administrative and operations support of UPS Capital Parcel Pro services and customer needs.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvement, quality management, and innovation in alignment with strategic business goals.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Required
  • Management experience - Required
  • Advanced or intermediate level on Excel - Required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
  • Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
  • Strong oral and written communication skills


Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,680/year in our lowest geographic market up to $114,840/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
