This could be at the Associate and Bachelor degree level dependent upon their level of expertise and education. Course content may include: basic shop skills, welding/fabrication, hydraulics, basic AC/DC electrical, power transmission, chassis, management, regulatory guidelines, failure analysis, fluid analysis, power generation, preventative maintenance, engines, industrial safety, and commercial driver license training. Other duties may include recruiting students, meeting with advisory committees, assisting students with job placements, maintaining personal/professional certifications and licenses, and serving on various committees. The instructor will participate in professional and community service activities, provide curriculum and program development, advise students, participate in college activities, attend faculty and committee meetings, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least six years of related work experience in the industrial technology field
OR
a two-year degree in a related industrial technology field with four years of work experience,
OR
a four-year degree in a related industrial field with two years of work experiencePreferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field


• Welding knowledge and experience or certifications


• Possess a current class A Commercial Driver's License.


• Experience teaching or training in laboratory and classroom settings.


• Managerial experience in industry


• Demonstrated ability in program/curriculum development and assessment


• Demonstrated ability to serve the needs of students who represent a broad spectrum of ages, abilities, ethnicity, education, and cultural backgrounds


• Demonstrated ability to work with and advise students


• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers
Demonstrated ability to utilize current technology for course set up and to communicate with students

Conditions of Employment

This is a full-time, tenure track faculty appointment with employment expected to begin Fall Quarter 2024, subject to state legislative funding. The State of Washington provides a comprehensive benefits package for all state employees.

Centralia College faculty are represented by the Centralia College Federation of Teachers, Local No.4469, AFT/AAFL-CIO.

Compensation

Placement on the established faculty salary schedule is dependent upon education and teaching experience.The salary range for a 177-day contract is $67,204 - $100,775.
