Position Overview:


  • Leads day to day coordination with internal & external stake holders for Blade Task force projects under the supervision of a Manager / Project Manager.


  • As a Junior Project Manager plan & manage the execution of low complexity projects.


  • Supports Manager/ Project Manager for execution of projects and day-to-day activities for high complexity projects.


  • Keeps manager & project manager informed for deviation on schedule, budget & scope & escalate issues, as required.


  • Ensure project health, safety environment (HSE) & quality management performance in collaboration with project team.


  • The Junior Project Manager - Blade Task Force position is located in US-Orlando, FL - Corporate 11950.


  • Travel required: up to 25%


  • Relocation will not be offered for this role.



Responsibilities



  • Represent Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in all customer-facing project related discussions.


  • Plan and execute blade projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.


  • Implements PM guidelines and processes, and direct respective functional organization as needed.


  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support the project initiative in collaboration with business users and stakeholders.


  • Develop full-scale project plans (schedule, communication plan, etc.) and associated documents in alignment with business goals.


  • Works closely with the Commercial Project manager to develop Budget, review EAC & VAC for the project finances.


  • Manage and drive vendor negotiations together with procurement and resource managers.


  • Responsible for the P&L of the project and performance.


  • Monitor project performance to ensure the team stays on approved timeline and budget.


  • Identify and mitigate project risks.


  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plan and schedules.


  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and secure those resources through the respective functional departments as needed.


  • Provide regular updates to team and management on work performed, schedule, budget, and overall status.


  • Prepare and contribute to contractual matters, with external parties (i.e. vendors, clients).


  • Be self-motivated, able to think quickly, multi-task and address problems as they arise.


  • Drive a high-performance culture through strong leadership, and effective team management using varied resources across multiple geographical, departmental and organizational silos



Required Knowledge/Skill, Education, and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in related field or MBA


  • Experience - 6+ years of relevant experience.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Proficient with MS Office & products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects, Visio), plus Power BI

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or MBA from an accredited university and 6+ years of relevant experience


  • Prior experience in engineering, Project management, sales or wind industry experience


  • Proven team player and collaborator with various levels of corporate structures


  • Successful track record of operating commercially and executing projects effectively.


  • PMP Cert. preferred.


  • Ability to effectively present and communicate information internally and externally.
