Job Summary: Specialized AP and Billing position in a very fast-paced/high volume environment. AP rail includes reviewing invoices and balancing statements for rail shipments and equipment reservations; analysis and variance reporting. The Escalation Point of Contact for Third-Party Billing plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient billing processes for a company that relies on third-party billing services. This role involves handling complex billing issues, addressing customer concerns, and serving as a bridge between the company, third-party billing providers, and customers. Here is a detailed job description:

Responsibilities and Key Points Related to the Position
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Review, settle and balance pre-paid draft accounts
• Reviewing other rail associated invoices for ach payments
• Research rates for dispute resolution and manage/monitor resulting overcharge claims
• Maintain positive relationships as a liaison between rail carriers and Agents/IBO's
• Maintain accounting reports and logs
• Monitor and respond to email communications
• Review and release holds/payments for carriers and vendors
• Print and mail out paper checks and invoices to carriers and customers
• Portal Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex billing issues, discrepancies, and disputes related to third-party billing services promptly and accurately.
• Customer Support: Serve as a point of contact for customers who have billing-related inquiries or concerns, providing excellent customer service and timely responses.
• Communication Liaison: Facilitate effective communication between the company and third-party billing providers, conveying billing requirements, issues, and updates.

• Other tasks and projects as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Required knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel (XLookups and Pivot Table) and Outlook.
• Superior organizational skills while managing multiple priorities and tasks
• Strong and confident verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively and positively operate in a team-based environment or independently
• An Extremely focused and motivated individual that is open to learning new things with a keen ability to quickly adapt to change
• Demonstrate superior initiative evidenced in the ability to self-manage, organize, and prioritize
• Display commitment to high standards of behavior, performance, and exemplary attendance

Desired knowledge and Skills:

• Transportation industry knowledge a plus but not required
• Intermediate to Advanced skills set in Microsoft Excel
• 10 Key by touch

Scheduling Requirement:

• Fulltime, Monday to Friday; 7 AM to 4 PM. Hybrid
• Overtime may be required as needed.
