Responsibilities

This internship program is an opportunity from June 2024 to August 2024 for undergraduates to contribute to EFW’s mission while developing valuable professional skills. The ideal candidate will learn the industry through the lens of EFW. As part of the internship, EFW will provide learning experiences throughout the organization so that the intern truly understands talent acquisition while providing support to the Human Resources department by working on a variety of HR projects to expand knowledge and experience in various aspects of this discipline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure data accuracy, integrity, course descriptions, and histories.
  • Learn and assist with LMS administration that assigns, delivers, assesses, records, tracks, and reports eLearning courses and training programs.
  • Assist with monitoring LMS activity to ensure course and curricula, assignment, implementation, and evaluation processes within given timeframes.
  • Create/publish/archive online/instructor-led courses, assist with course revisions and histories.
  • Update training requirements in the LMS.
  • Create user logins, assign user permissions, monitor user accounts, and reset passwords as needed.
  • Develop tracking mechanisms and schema to identify employee training requirements and qualification status.
  • Accurately track new, deleted, and revised items in the LMS including course content, procedures, and assessments.
  • Assist Instructional Designer with LMS instructor course materials and provide support related to document control system requirements.
  • Help track user problems and inform the user of the status.
  • Assist with EFW’s EdVantage monthly training course calendar and registration process.
  • Shadow with the Instructional Designer to learn the programs, techniques, and collaborative effort utilized to create e-Learning content for the LMS.
  • Create and manage the overall course structure and set-up course programs based on specifications from the instructional designer.
  • Collaborate with the learners, facilitators, and instructional designer to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS and course content.
  • Evaluate business requirements related to using and configuring LMS applications.
  • Maintain good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. A rising junior or senior in a 4-year degree program (Business and/or Logistics preferred). A history of achievement and aptitude demonstrated by a 3.0 GPA, and/or other recognition such as scholarships, awards, and honor societies. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Visio.
  • Must be a team player with a high level of energy and self-motivation.
  • Must have attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials.
  • Must have excellent spelling, grammar, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Technical skills including troubleshooting, and understanding of directory, file structures, and systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as the LMS vendor.
  • Ability to gain new technical skills quickly.
  • Customer service skills and a responsive attitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with groups of people such as other departments and communicate known concepts.
  • Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis.
  • Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
