We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Financial Services Intern to join our team for a comprehensive, 10-week paid summer internship program.

This is a terrific opportunity to join IDC’s growing proprietary and customized Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) research offering to the financial services community. IDC’s Investment research team works directly with many of the world’s premier sell-side firms, hedge funds, mutual funds, venture capital firms and private equity funds in providing fundamental research support to their analysts.

This role is located in our Needham, MA with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with incoming research requests from financial services clients (e.g. hedge funds, mutual funds, private equity, investment banks, equity research)
  • Coordinating calls/meetings between IDC research analysts and financial services clients
  • Assisting in covering inquiry calls between financial services clients and IDC research analysts
  • Logging client interactions with IDC analysts in an internal database
  • Create strong partnerships with internal client service team; building credibility by being responsive and diligent
  • Serve as an overall team player supporting clients and colleagues in a very collaborative environment


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Finance or Business Administration
  • Desire to launch a career in Finance or client service
  • A strong interest in technology
  • Time management skills, especially when it comes to managing multiple client inquiries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Software proficiency (e.g., Excel, pivot tables, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proactive and results-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. The expected compensation, depending on education level, is between $22-$25/hour for undergrads and $30-35/hour for graduate students.
