Chesapeake Search Partners is working with a real estate company investing in healthcare-related real estate properties in the US and UK. The Tax Director will work to support the US and UK tax compliance needs of the organization. The position also manages US and UK tax accounting - ensuring tax expense and disclosures are properly determined. Diversified technical tax knowledge, including corporate, partnership, state and local, and international tax across various industries, is required. ResponsibilitiesManagement of US, UK, state, and local tax complianceE&P calculationPartner tax withholdings from quarterly distributionsProviding tax workpapers and supporting information to tax preparers.Review of US and UK tax returns and supporting workpapers (prepared by tax preparers)Review tax disclosures in SEC filingsReview quarterly and annual REIT testsReview of investor tax packages and correspondence with partnersManagement of partner capital accounts and distribution withholdings and true-upsAssistance with fixed asset management and basis-adjustment Qualifications:Bachelor's in AccountingMaster's Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA6+ years of Federal and state partnership taxReal estate tax experienceExperience working in public accounting (Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience)
