Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) was formed in 1993 to serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Since then, we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee.
Our sole purpose is to support and treat those challenged with serious mental illness and poverty. Job Title: Supervisor of Nursing Services, Satellite locations
JOB SUMMARY: To function as a nursing supervisor with responsibility of providing supervision and support to clinical nurse staff at satellite offices (Antioch, Murfreesboro, Dickson, Columbia, Chattanooga, Cleveland, Cookeville, Gallatin, and Clarksville).
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8a-4:30p
Responsibilities
Directly supervises nurses at satellite offices.
Manages the scheduling and workload of nurses in satellite offices and ensures efficient nursing operations in each office.
Conducts direct nursing duties as needed during absence of other nurses at the satellite offices.
Coordinates with the Program Manager, Nursing Services and Supervisors of Nursing at Metro Offices to plan, schedule and conduct clinical, educational and operational meetings for all clinical nursing staff.
Coordinates with Human Resources to facilitate the hiring and termination process for clinical nursing personnel, ensure completion of performance appraisals, and maintain up to date credentialing records.
Maintains the development and ensures the implementation of intensive training and orientation to newly hired clinical nursing staff.
Provides any assistance and support as necessary to facilitate smooth operation of the clinics in satellite locations.
Ensures quality assurance/utilization review, including peer review among nursing staff.
Facilitates regular audit of records for policy and procedures adherence.
Assists in the revision and development of policy and procedures for Medical Operations.
Assists HR with Nursing Student Orientation and coordinates scheduling of clinical rotation for Nursing Students and Nurse Interns.
Works cooperatively with Care Management staff to ensure satellite offices are running efficiently, effectively, and reaching office growth goals.
Travels to each satellite location at least one time per month to complete site inspections.
Coordinates with the Occupational Safety Nurse and Education Coordinator to ensure each location is in compliance with OSHA.
