Position Overview:
As a Tax Manager, you will play a vital role in tax strategy and compliance efforts. You will be responsible for overseeing tax planning, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and optimizing tax position. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact and provide a broad range of services for businesses, individuals, trusts and estates whilst maintaining strong relationships.
Provide personalized tax planning and consulting services to meet client needs.
Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Collaborate with clients to develop and implement tax strategies that align with their financial goals.
Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Provide guidance on technical tax matters and assist in professional development
Identify opportunities for expanding services and enhancing client relationships.
Participate in business development activities to attract new private clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or JD/LLM preferred
Experience preparing business and personal taxes
Must currently be working in a CPA Firm
Strong knowledge of private client tax
Proven leadership and managerial skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal stakeholders
Ideally knowledge in using ProSeries
