We're Looking For a Senior Conversational AI Engineer
Our team is looking for someone who has a passion for developing performant and robust chatbot applications that can handle large call volumes from customer support channels.
We're looking for a natural consultant who can build and maintain relationships in financial and tech environments. The ideal candidate will be a driver of process, accountability, customer engagement, and strategy. This will be driven from a proven ability to plan and execute scalable strategies, superior client management, escalation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

At InRhythm, You Will
Design, develop, and test chatbot applications and workflows using Go (Golang) and AWS Lex
Utilize data to conduct experiments and generate new content, parameters, and settings for continued optimization of the customer experience
Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities
Provide oversight into developing and operating the chat and chatbot strategy, which includes using data models to drive contextual conversations across voice and chat channels
Work with fellow engineers on improving the customer experience with chatbots and increasing the containment rate of the overall interactive voice response (IVR) system
Identify pitfalls ahead of time, raising concerns and managing expectations with all stakeholders
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise to chatbot projects
Provide technical support for chatbot solutions and troubleshoot issues
Ensure quality and performance of chatbot solutions by establishing a data-focused structure for making decisions to enhance the customer experience
Define and break out epics/features for others, while maintaining a sense of the whole picture
Work in a cross-functional agile team to deliver working software incrementally
Help InRhythm's technology division by collaborating on the interviewing pipeline, mentoring less-experienced engineers, hosting tech talks and workshops, identifying industry trends to discuss, and participating in practice activities.
Requirements
5+ years of professional engineering experience building chatbots using AWS Lex, Dialog Flow, Polly, Azure, or Nuance
2+ years of professional engineering experience with Go (Golang) programming language and Go Testing framework
Experience with the following Amazon Web Services (AWS) features:
AWS Connect
AWS Lambda
AWS Lex
AWS States
AWS Machine Learning
Experience working with interactive voice response (IVR) systems
Understand fundamentals of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and its pitfalls (i.e. model overfitting and underfitting)
Understand how AWS Lex intents and utterances work
Troubleshoot complex AWS Lex bots with hundreds of intents and utterances, especially issues related to user dialect, multi intent classification, user stammering, and intent switching
Experience testing AWS Lex bots using AWS States Step Functions
Experience improving AWS Lex bot flow inputs and variations to increase intent success
Experience working with large Go libraries and backend services via authenticated REST API calls
Familiar with other programming languages supported by AWS Lambda, such as:
Node.js
Python
Java
Staying up to date on industry trends
