Chester County Eye Care has been a leader in eye care throughout Chester County and the surrounding area for over 50 years. We provide advanced care for cataracts, glaucoma, retina disorders, LASIK, diabetic eye disease, and more. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual who is a team player to join our billing team.
Responsibilities:
-Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing.
-Review and transmit Claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim
processing
-Correct electronic payer edits and resubmission of claims
-Interpret explanations of benefits for appropriate follow-up action
-Identifying and billing secondary and tertiary insurances.
-Post and process payments from insurance companies and patients
-Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or denials.
-Communicate and Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation
and authorizations for billing purposes
-Provide compassionate customer service, answer phone calls, and respond to patient inquiries
promptly and professionally.
-Verify patient insurance coverage
-Other duties as deemed necessary
Requirements:
-2+ years experience in medical billing preferred, customer service experience a plus, vision
experience a plus
-Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
-Multi-task and work independently and as part of a team
-Knowledge of insurance guidelines including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
companies
-Strong knowledge of medical coding principles, including ICD-10 and CPT codes
-Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
-Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with healthcare providers, insurance
companies, and patients
-Ability to Adapt to change in a fast- paced environment
-Reside within a commutable distance of West Chester, PA
