Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager / Market Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager / Market Leader. This pivotal role revolves around fostering business relations, driving sales, and overseeing project delivery for municipal water and wastewater clients across Oregon. The chosen candidate will spearhead the expansion of our Water/Wastewater Practice within the region, leveraging expertise in municipal engineering projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Expertise in municipal engineering projects such as water and wastewater system planning, potable water supply, conveyance and storage design, sanitary conveyance, treatment design, hydraulic modeling analysis, and regulatory coordination.
  • Proficiency in specialized areas such as potable, raw, and recycled water delivery systems, groundwater supply systems, pressurized system hydraulic analyses, water quality analysis and treatment, sewer system management, and operational controls.
  • Business Development tasks encompass client relationship management, new business generation, leadership of client teams, sales forecasting, and oversight of project manager performance.
  • Group Leadership duties involve guiding project teams, ensuring technical work delivery, resource allocation for project success, talent management, pursuit championing, and ensuring excellence in project execution.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on environmental engineering, civil engineering, and/or water/wastewater system analysis and design.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Oregon.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Over 15 years of experience in delivering water/wastewater engineering projects, including a minimum of 5 years in a business development role within the Oregon market.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 20+ years of experience in the field.
  • Familiarity with local special purpose water/wastewater agencies, municipalities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in water and sewer master planning, Oregon regulations, and proficiency in relevant engineering software.
